He was predeceased by: his stepfather James E. Ellis. He is survived by: his parents, Richard LaFave Sr. and Reita LaFave-Ellis; his close friend Arleen Baldwin; his siblings, Bonnie Dunn (Wayne), Tina Jones (Pete), James Ellis (Tara) and Michael LaFave (Katerra); his stepdaughters, Crystal Young and Heather Church; and his grandchildren, Briann Mills and Abigail Young. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as several aunts and uncles.
