In loving memory of Richard E. VanHoesen of Stamford, New York, born in Kortright, New York, who departed this world on September 7, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Hoesen and Effie Van Hoesen (Bright); and his wife Patricia Van Hoesen (Nichols). He is survived by: his siblings, William, Donald, Flossie Pruden, Ena Decker and Virginia Eckerd; his children, Peggy Hait (Russell) of Jefferson, Lorraine VanHoesen of Florida, James VanHoesen of Stamford and David VanHoesen (Laura) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Melissa (Dan), Sarah (Bill), Brian (Aubrey), Jesse (Amanda), Nikki (Ryan) and Katy (Danny). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the MacArthur Funeral Home - Stamford (15 Buntline Dr, Stamford, NY 12167). A prayer was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stamford VFW Post #6292 in his memory.
