He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia and David. He is survived by: his significant other Heather; his children, Gwilym, Tyler Walts and Shane Smith of Stamford; his sister Amy of Harpersfield; and his nieces, Haley DeWitt and Madison Shepler.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the fire departments that came to help.
