He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eckert and Mary Eckert (Pollock); his former wife Freda Eckert (Cole); and his brother Martin A. Hanak. He is survived by: his wife Lorelei Eckert of Stamford; his children, Dave Eckert of Franklin, Debbie Powell (Dave) of Leeds, Cheryl Marinaccio of Walton and Bonnie Tanner of Oneonta; his grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Claudia, Tatum, John, Destiny, Jennie, Jacob and Dominick; and his sister Nora Ackerman of Nyack.
