He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel O'Connell and Ann Rogers O'Connell; his wife Mary Ann Ruth Deacon; his daughter Patricia O'Connell; and his siblings, Joseph O'Connell and Patricia O'Connell.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Skidmore, Tom O'Connell of Texas and Carol (Ricky Peets). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
