Simplicio Reyes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Simplicio Reyes of Spring Valley, New York, who passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benito and Cathlina Reyes; his wife Eugenia Burgos; his children, Rosalina (Florence), Veronica (Cesar), Jose Aurelio and Dr. Ella Reyes-Merene (Nathaniel Merene); his grandchildren, Julius Cesar Reyes, Captain, Katherine Reyes and Merene; his adoptive son Roland St. Augustine (Nanette); his granddaughter Katherine Reyes–Merene; his adoptive children, Roland San Agustin (Nanette), Dr. Eleazar San Agustin (Robin) of Wisconsin and Elizabeth San Agustin of Nyack, NY.; and also, Christine and Justin of New Jersey. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and friends.

His love for horses did not stop him from being a regular in OTB (Off Track Betting) until the pandemic.
