He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Alper and Evelyn Alper. He is survived by: his wife Alyse Alper (Weitz); his daughters, Meryl Alper Weiss (Glen), Taryn Alper (Jason) and Devra Alper (Alex); and his grandchildren, Scarlett, Tenley, Emilia, Benjamin and Margot.

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hellman Memorial Chapels (15 State St, Spring Valley, NY 10977). A burial was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery (1126 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314).

Memorial donations may be made in Andy's name to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org), a charity for which he annually raised money, as well as New City Jewish Center .
