He was predeceased by: his wife Diane; and his daughter-in-law Robin Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Gary Simpson, Laurie Feeley (Patrick) and Mary Ellen Koetz (Vincent); his grandchildren, Terry Mosher (Katie), Seth Mosher, Nathan Koetz (Krissy), Marybeth Koetz, Troy Bond (Kaitlyn) and Shauna Spann (Tyrone); and his great grandchildren, Henry, Lucy, Calli, Lincoln, Jaylen, Adrian, Gavin and Brooke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As a retiree he enjoyed refurbishing instruments to donate to anyone in need who loved music.
