He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Ward and Janet Collins Ward. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Bargher Ward; his son Ryan Ward (Courtney McNamara); his siblings, Joseph Ward and Shirley Niles; and his nephews, Joey Ward, Jr. and Jake Ward.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tompkins County SPCA.
