The memory of Ida Ruth Sykes Bauer of Spencer, New York, who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuby Boulio and Ruth Boulio; her former husband Richard Sykes; her husband Joseph Bauer; her son Daniel Sykes; and her siblings, June, Jean, Robert and Ralph.

She is survived by: her children, Stephan Sykes (Stefania), Cyndi Watrous (Robert), Susan Sikes, Beth Watro (Joseph), Timothy Sykes (Dorothy), Amy Blair (Stephen) and John Sykes (Christine). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Canadice Hill Corner Cemetery (5945 Canadice Hill Rd, Springwater, NY 14560).
