She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Bangs Platt, Jr. and Edith Margaret Guldi Platt; her husband Thomas Joyce; her siblings, William Platt III, Jonathan Platt of Hampton Bays, Elinor Hoar of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Richard Platt of Marlborough, Massachusetts; her children, Catherine Joyce Gates (Bret) of Kensington, Maryland and Thomas W. E. Joyce III (Lori) of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Kevin Gates of Gainesville, Ryan Joyce (Melissa Butler) of Williamsburg, Brendan Gates (Christie) of Chapin and Kayla Joyce (Ryan Karzar) of Bowie, Maryland.; and also Thomas Walter Eeves Joyce.
