She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Giuseppe D'Aiuto and Giacoma Catalanotto; her spouse Giuseppe "Joe" Purrazzella; her children, Rose (Marc Rosenblum), Linda, Michael (Louise) and Joseph; and her grandchildren, Michael (Andrea), Julia (Grant), Alessandro and Dante.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Josie's name to the Coast Manatee Foundation / Manatee Observation and Educational Center where she volunteered for over 20 years - A butterfly in her honor commemorates her achievement.
