He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Dunkirk and Katherine Dunkirk; and his brothers, Malcolm, Kenneth and Alan Dunkirk.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Douglas Dunkirk, Jr. (Jenette), Diana Glanz (Tristan), Michael Dunkirk, Kevin Dunkirk (Sarah) and Tracey Lesnick (Joe); his brother John Dunkirk (Michele); and his grandchildren, Gianna, Douglas III, Isabella, Francesca Dunkirk, Anthony, Maggie, Trevor Glanz, Michael Jr., Thomas, Wesley, Brooklyn, Harry Dunkirk, Alexander, Emmett Dunkirk, Joseph Jr., Ian and Winter Lesnick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
