She was predeceased by: her husband Courtland Smith; and her sister Lenie Bazin. She is survived by: her son David of Aquebogue; her stepchildren, Janet Merrill (Stephen) of Minneapolis and Christopher Smith of California; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Merrill of Washington, Benjamin Merrill of Colorado and Courtland Merrill (Kara) of Minnesota; her stepgreat-grandson Jack Merrill; and her close friend Pam Pospisil.
