He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Fisher. He is survived by: his wife Cherie; and his sisters, Florence Miller (Bill) and June Schoenthal (Harvey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Don was a proud U.S Army Veteran in the 39th Artillery, who served as a missile specialist .Family encourages memorials be made to the Strykersville Legion and Wales Center Fire Company.
