He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davern and Gladys Davern (Dixon); his wife Mary Jean Barrows; and his siblings, Anna Eldridge, Ida Karlson, Betty Gibbon, John Davern, Richard Davern and Thomas Davern.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Maureen Nevins of Newcomb, MD, Marilyn Neuland (Robert) of Norwich, Orrest Karlson (Rosemary) of Norwich, Jeff Gibbon (Linda) of Norwich, Michael Gibbon (Kathy) of Norwich, Stephen Davern (Michelle) of Lavellette, NJ, Kathy Biviano of Bossier City, LA and Kim Bolyard (Richard) of Louisville; his sister-in-law Jean Davern of Norwich; and his stepdaughter Cathy Rivenburg.
