She is survived by: her sisters, Donna Jean Sanders, Mary Elizabeth Schempp of Wilton and Karen LaPlant of Cohoes; her nieces and nephews, John Schempp, Lauren Schempp of Manchester, CT, Bernard LaPlant of Cohoes, Stephanie Howard of Glens Falls and Michelle Pelletier of Schenectady; and her pet Maddie.

“Sandy you will be missed! I grew up with Sandy as she lived on the same circle in SGF. Sandy was my best friend back then. We spent just about every day together along with her sister Karen. The thing I remember most is the Christmas we both got GI Joe dolls. As soon as spring broke and leaves were on the trees, off came their soldier uniforms and on went their loin clothes. We would tie a weeping willow branch to their arm and swing them while yelling the Tarzan call. That is just one memory”
