He is survived by: his brothers, Neil Petteys (Billee), Melvin Petteys and Daniel Petteys (Sandy); his nieces and nephews, David Petteys (Yana), Matthew Petteys (Katherine), Rachel Randolph (Tim), Megan Petteys (Kevin), Daniel R. Petteys (Heidi) and Shawn Petteys (Gwen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sophia, Bennett, Collette, Barrett, Lila, Cole, Kayleighonia and Alora; and his close friends, Bob and Leslie Max. He is also survived by many neighbors and friends.
