With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Richard Schaffer Sr. (South Glens Falls, New York), born in Lynbrook, New York, who passed away on October 11, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fayette Franklin and Catherine Louise Schaffer (Milne); his sister Alice Box; and his sister-in-law Dorothy C. Boyack. He is survived by: his wife Barbara B. Schaffer; his daughter Sandra Savko (Brian); his grandchildren, Natasha and Grant DeMers; his son John R. Schaffer Jr. (Amanda); his grandson Kaden; his son Russel MacNeil (Tanya); his granddaughters, Isabelle and Rachael (Elliot Jenks); his great grandchildren, Asher and Lilah; and his sister Catherine Pinard. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
