He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Abare and Anna Abare (Howe); and his brother William Abare. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Benjamin; his children, April Abare of Flint, MI, Jeanne Hurst of Longwood, Bruce Abare II (Megan Brown) of Argyle, Clifton Abare (Bronwyn) of Fort Mill, SC and Edward Abare; and his siblings, Nancy Smith (Bill), Sally Swinton, Brian Abare (Debbie), Dennis Abare, Cheryl Stark (Rick), Ellen Giunco (Ed) and Carrie Gray (Michael). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
