He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Margaret (Lindner-Doherty); and his significant other Eileen Doherty. He is survived by: his children, Robert (Kathy) of Lake Carmel, NY, Peter (Jennifer) of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Patrick (Carol Ann) of Somers, Colleen Foley (Fergal) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Laurie Doherty Grassi (Tony) of Strasburg, VA and Theresa Doherty Clark (Michael) of Elkins, AR; and his wife Eileen M. Cunningham. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and several godchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dad was generous to a fault and in the early days of Covid, told his tenants "Don't worry about the rent, take care of your families.'.
