He was predeceased by: his parents, Athanathios Karnavezos and Katerina Karnavezos. He is survived by: his siblings, Yiannis, Adonis, Matina, Kiki, Mimis and George; his wife Sophia Chionilos; his sons, Thomas (Andrea) and Nickolas (Carla); his grandchildren, Sophia (Erik Jonisz), Pano (Alyssa), Nickolas and Andonia; and his great grandchild Magdalyn.
