He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugh Smith and Margaret Smith; his wife Rita; his children, Margaret (Jim), Hughie (Andrea), Patricia (Johnny) and Jimmy; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Sean, Bryan, Kelsey, Caroline, Colin, Sara, Johnny and Patrick; and his siblings, Agnes, Peggy, Josie, Eileen, Marie, Claire, Annamai, Olive, Mona, Hugh, Michael and John Joe. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
