Dorothy Pliszczak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Pliszczak of Solvay, New York, who passed away on January 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bronislaw and Stefania (Grabowski); her husband Zygmunt; and her siblings, Nellie Nozynski, Irene Zamojski, Henry, Zygmund and Alexander Zamojski.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Janice Pliszczak. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Charles Borromeo Church (501 S Orchard Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles of Borromeo Church (501 S Orchard Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (200 Salisbury Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13204 or to the Solvay Volunteer Fire Department, 1925 Milton Avenue, Solvay, NY 13209.
