He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Currington and Lora Mae Currington (Henderson); and his siblings, Ella Mae Daniel, Lucill Anna Shannon, Lora Lee Higgins, Ellmae Daniels, Helen Boone, Thelma, Floyd Jr., Homer, Fred and Frank Currington.

He is survived by: his wife Linda G. (Sampson); his sons, John L., Marvin G. (Jacqueline), Fredrick S., Reginald J., Joseph J. and Willie J. Currington; his grandchildren, Yolanda, Linda, Gilisa, Shontoya, Reggie Jr., Jacob, Quinnton, Naveah, Caleb, Julien, Jenna, Eli, Latoya, Natosha (Joe), Lorenzy III, Calvin, Yonique and Jer-Michael; and his sister Beverly Ann Beech. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
