It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alton D. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Steen and Charlotte "Lottie" Van Steen (Swan); his significant other Helen; his former wife Shirley M. (Jeffers); his daughter Tina; his brother-in-law Lowell Nudd; and his siblings, Regina, Florence, Topsie VanSteen, Muriel Frances, Betty Jean Brugge, Raymond Jacob and Donald Clifford VanSteen.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie Calkins (Dennis), Virginia Mitzel (Donald) and Randy VanSteen (Kim); and his sisters, Onalee Nudd and Sandy Bolton (Larry). He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as Helen's loving children/husbands/wives/grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended families, dear friends.
