He is survived by: his children, Mark Huerter (Ela), Christine Matthews (Michael George), Deborah Pierre (Jason) and Suzanne Ash; his grandchildren, Jacob M. Huerter, Tyler V. Matthews, Conner J. Pierre, Zachary J. Pierre and Kylie M. Huerter; and his brother Donald Huerter (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
