He was predeceased by: his children, Laura "Bunny" Tarbell, Kenneth "Johnson" Tarbell and David M. Tarbell Sr.; his parents, Johnson Hill and Mary Tarbell (Garrow); and his siblings, Jay Tarbell and Norma Tarbell.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Tarbell (Benedict); and his children, Milton Tarbell (Renee), Harold Tarbell (Darcie), Tina Tarbell and Tracy Patchett. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
