We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2024, John D. Auwarter of Smithville Flats, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Auwarter; his parents, John Auwarter and Meta Hansmann Auwarter; and his siblings, Roderick, Fredrick and Meta Green.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Rocak (Timothy), Scott Auwarter (Luz Real), Kristen Viggianelli (Michael), Karen Prior (Myles) and Jill Hochreiter (Keith); his grandchildren, Catherine, Rebekah, Carmen (Miguel), Jared, Katherine (Andres), Hassan, Sara, Elizabeth (Mike), John, Patrick, Michael, Caroline, Eric, Andy and Evelyn; and his great grandchildren, Adeline and Madison. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Genegantselet Fire Company, the First Congregational Church in Greene or Good Shepherd Village.
