With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Ericson of Smithtown, New York, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Buenau Sr. and Mary "Ruth" Buenau (McGowan). He is survived by: his son-in-law Michael Granger; his wife Milvi; his children, Laura Granger and Carl Ericson; his child-in-law Kris Ericson; his grandchildren, Luke Granger, Alec Granger and Michele Adler (Justin Adler); and his great grandchild Mackenzie Rae Adler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Branch Funeral Home (190 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Washington Memorial Park (855 Canal Rd, Mt Sinai, NY 11766).
