She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Christensen and Marjorie Christensen; her sisters, Joan Greene, Doris Baffi and Carole O'Sullivan; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Greene, Joseph Baffi, Kevin O'Sullivan and Stephen Thorgersen.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Herber; her children, Dawn Herber (Daniel Opinante), Jennifer Herber (Robert Plunkett) and Douglas Herber (Christine); her grandchildren, Brittany Opinante (Kyle O'Hara), Kelsey Opinante, Riley, Briggs Herber, Sara, Kate and Elizabeth Plunkett; and her sister-in-law Carol Thorgersen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Branch Funeral Home (190 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Patrick's RC Church (280 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
