He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Gentile Macari and Lou Macari (Luciano); his siblings, Millie and Joe; and his nephew Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Sharon Macari, Lisa Macari and Anthony D. Macari; his grandchildren, Danielle Carvalho, William Crinnion, Dom Marichal, Brianna Marichal, Anthony J. Macari and Skylar Macari; his great grandchildren, Millie Carvalho and Calvin Carvalho; his brother Lou Macari; and his in-laws, Leslie (Anthony D.), Andrew Mathews (Sharon), Jeanne (William), Jacob (Danielle), Katherine Macari (Joseph Macari), Brenda Macari (Lou), Kathy Vargo and Vincent Guardia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Branch Funeral Home of Commack (2115 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, NY 11725). A Mass was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at 35-60 158th St, Flushing, NY 11358. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery (172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365).
