It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Louise Mayer (Smithboro, New York), born in Waverly, New York, who passed away on February 22, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Yaple and Nettie Yaple (Baird); her husband John Leo Mayer; and her siblings, Robert, Lynn, Fred Yaple, Herbert Lott, Jean Judge and Gladys Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Arthur Mayer (Kathy) of Barton, Beth Biehner (Carl) of Hiram, GA and Cindy Strosser (James) of Ford City; her grandchildren, Kami, Tobe, Michael Mayer, Clare Strosser, Kelly Strosser, Dustin Burk (Christina), John Burk and Annemarie Howland (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Alex, Taylor, Tanner, Camryn, Michael Mayer, Austin Stone, Jacob Howland and Olivia Howland; her sister Ann Lounsbury (Yaple); and her sister-in-law Ella Yaple. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
