He is survived by: his children, Michelle Atkins (Douglas) and Fredric "Rick" Shaw, Jr. (Nicole); his grandchildren, Isabella, Connor Atkins, Benjamin and Fredric III; his sisters, Jean Shaw-Gianquinto, Carol Schoenman and Joan Rey; and his close friend Tom Gianquinto.
