He was predeceased by: his father John W. Mergler. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Mergler; his sons, Joshua John Mergler (Jennifer) and Zachary John Mergler (Skylar); his grandchildren, Lily and Oliver Mergler; his mother Patricia Mergler; his sisters, Barbara Kalota (Mark) and Lisa Santoro (James); and his close friend Johnny Levinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the SPCA serving Erie County.
