She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Shapiro and Bessie Mervis Shapiro (Emanuel Halpern); her brother Sidney; her sister-in-law Phyllis Shapiro; her sister Charlotte; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Star and Lucille Shapiro.
She is survived by: her brother Louis Shapiro of Phoenix, Ariz.; her son David; her daughter-in-law Karen Halpern of Akron, Ohio; her daughter Judy Halpern Klein of Clifton Park, N. Y.; her granddaughters, Abigail Cymerman (Aron) of Akron and Amanda Connell (Patrick) of Clifton Park, N. Y.; her great grandchildren, Hayley Cymerman, Liam Connell, Matthew Cymerman and Ethan Connell; and her granddaughters, Halpern and Bigman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
