She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Lesmo and Lilia Lesmo (Obregon); her husband Mario Luis Garcia; and her brothers, Julio and Nelson Lesmo.

She is survived by: her children, Lilia Cabello (Jose) and Mario Garcia, Jr. (Juan Arias); her grandchildren, Steven, Kourtney Cabello, Alec, Talia Cabello, Mark Garcia and Nicole Garcia; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Sabrina, Adrian Cabello and Xavier Jesurum. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Idalia's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hudson Valley Hospice.
