He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard "Kip" Carpenter and Lillian Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Jenkins of Baldwinsville and Jeffrey (Audrey) of Jamesville; his grandchildren, Alyssa Jenkins, Alexandra Jenkins, Emilee Carpenter and Adam Carpenter; and his brother Leonard (Marsha) of Hamlin, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice of Central New York & of the Finger Lakes or the American Cancer Society.
