Sidney D. Broughton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sidney D. Broughton of Silver Springs, New York, born in Warsaw, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt W. Jr. Broughton and Helen Broughton (Chamberlain); his brothers, James and Phillip; his father-in-law Gerald Graham; and his brother-in-law Jacques Schmit.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene "Jeannie" (Graham); his daughters, Amberley Robb (Daryl) and Mindy Trowbridge (Rob); his brothers, Merritt III, Colin and Randy (Becky); his grandsons, Levi Durand, Grayson Robert Trowbridge of South Haven, Alexander Ralph and Oliver James Robb of Warsaw; his mother-in-law Madeline (Ess); and his siblings-in-law, Deborah Graham Schmit, Mary Carney (Bruce), Sandra Graham (Brent Maines) and Gerald "Sam" Graham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home (246 N Main St, Warsaw, NY 14569). A Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church (171 N Main St, Warsaw, NY 14569). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (11 St Mary S Ct, Silver Springs, NY 14550).
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Silver Springs Rescue Squad in Sid's memory.
