With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose M. Cody of Silver Springs, New York, born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilyat and Elizabeth Gocella Wilyat; her husband Leo Cody; and her sister Lena Wellman. She is survived by: her daughter Maureen Preston of Silver Springs; her grandchildren, Edward "Ted" Cody (Tanya) of Gainesville and Melissa Preston of Silver Springs; her great grandchild Bridget Ruffner (Kurt Klein); her great great grandchild Averee; her siblings, Joy Nocera of Warsaw, Carole Stack of Warsaw, Sandy Winale of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Don Wilyat (Sally) of Woodstock and John Wilyat of Arizona; her close friend Thressa Cody; and her siblings, Florence Palermo, Teresa Dunlevy and Vincent Wilyat.
Due to Covid 19 precautions, the funeral home is limited to 33% capacity and facemasks are required.
