He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Fitzgibbons and Virginia Fitzgibbons (Terhaar); his wife Barbara A. Newton; and his siblings, Patricia Fitzgibbons and Mark Fitzgibbons.
He is survived by: his children, Paula J. Snyder (late James) of Olean, Barbara S. "Susan" Saulitis (John) of Mineral Ridge, Kathryn M. Welch (Thomas) of Hinsdale and William T. Fitzgibbons Jr. (Kathleen) of Alpharetta; and his grandchildren, Timothy Perrigo, Emily Collins, Margaret Kasperski, Colleen Medley, Anna Saulitis, Bonnie Welch Badman, Natalie Fitzgibbons and Peter Fitzgibbons. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
