He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dann and Elizabeth Dann (Waterman); his brother Robert Dann; and his pet Ferra. He is survived by: his daughter Julie; his son-in-law Greg Thompson; his granddaughter Katelyn of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; his sister Rebecca; his brother-in-law David Leidy of Sidney; his former wife Dorothy Dann (Ross) of Middletown, Delaware; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Dann, Michelle Stewart, Melinda Dann, Michael Leidy (Sarah Kane), Elizabeth Leidy, Carly Livingston, Andrew Stewart (Abby), Jilleen Livingston and Jeffrey Stewart; and his close friend Diane Moore.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel (21 Main St, Sidney, NY 13838). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 7:30 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Prospect Hill Cemetery East Main.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's memory to the Sidney Fire Department or Sidney United Methodist Church.
