She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mertz and Ellen Mertz; her husband Richard Horton; and her siblings, Joseph, Jerome, Frederick, Alfred, Loretta Frank, Veronica Shupperd and Rita Mertz.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ellen Hogan, Sidney, Augusta Shifflett of Florida and George Mertz of Bainbridge; her stepsons, Richard Horton (Connie) of Nashville, TN and Douglas Horton (Amy) of Alexandria Bay, NY; and her stepgrandchildren, Hunter (Joey) and Margaret.
