He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hunt and Viola Hunt; and his brother William Arthur Hunt. He is survived by: his stepsons, Charles (Sherry Place) of Oneonta and John (Cheryl Place) of Deposit; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Place of Guilford, NY.; his nephew William Hunt Jr. of Sidney; and his niece Joanne Hunt of Miami. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ch Landers Funeral Home (21 Main St, Sidney, NY 13838). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (28 River St, Sidney, NY 13838).
The family requests that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the local dollars for scholars organization.
