He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Ballard and Inez Ballard (Randall); his brothers, Gordon and Graydon Ballard; and his grandson Michael Schermerhorn.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Ballard; his children, Raymond Ballard Jr. (Stephanie), Lisa Pritchard (Marty), Becky Acla (Andrew), Michael Ballard, Jamie Ballard, Joseph Ballard (Anna) and Jason Ballard; his grandchildren, Tabatha, Amber, Gabrielle, Josh, Kona, Elizabeth, Ashley, Cameron, Madison, Brackon, Aidon, Ammon, Anthony, Austin and Jana; and his brother Ed Ballard (Sylvia). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Sidney American Legion (22 Union St, Sidney, NY 13838). The military honors was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Sidney American Legion Post 183 (22 Union St, Sidney, NY 13838).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Sidney American Legion Post 183.
