It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dawn Marie Palmatier of Sidney, New York, born in Oneonta, New York, who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peleg Hess and Teresa Hess (Carpentier). She is survived by: her husband Carlton "Fred" of Sidney, NY; her daughter Melissa Schoeck of Mt. Upton, NY; her stepchildren, Michael Palmatier (Selena) of Kingfield, ME, Michelle DeMeo of Oneonta, NY and Renae Ruff (Jason) of Oxford, NY; her uncle Butch Carpentier (Pat) of Scotia, NY; her siblings, Leon Hess (Loretta) of Schenectady, NY, Peleg Hess (Jan) of Clarksville, OH, Suzan Booth (Steve) of Osteen, FL and David Hess (Lori) of Norwich, NY; her grandchildren, Tyler Palmatier, Trevor Palmatier, Jessica Schoeck, Justin Schoeck, Tanner Palmatier, Troy Palmatier, Jacob Ruff, Jadyn Ruff, Mark DeMeo, Kane DeMeo, Joslynn Irons and Desirae Irons (Alex); her great grandchildren, Cora and Cleo; and her pet Fergie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
