He was predeceased by: his parent Knox Bryden; his wife Pearl Bryden; his parent Pearl Bryden of Hamden, NY.; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Miller, Robert Casse and Ruth Ann Casse.

He is survived by: his son Afton; his brothers-in-law, Adolphe Casse III and Phillip Casse (Virginia); and also James Bryden (Jamie). He is also survived by several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in James's name to the Sidney Humane Society at 101 Main St. P.O. Box 182, Sidney, NY 13838.
