“John was one of the memorable characters in the movie of our youth. We were neighborhood friends, from large Irish catholic clans in Shrub Oak. When were maybe 13 or 14, John persuaded me to come up to the top of Arch Drive to his garage/gym where his dad was giving boxing lessons, and where I discovered I was not a boxer. But we played football in the fall, rode our sleds down Arch Drive at about 400MPH, and skated on the Ivy Knolls pond. Rest in Peace John. See you again. Leo Gannon”
