He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley (Smith); his children, Jill Beckens (Bud) and Erik Nielsen (Sarah); his grandchildren, Savannah Weimar (Miles), Hunter Beckens (Ashley), Braeleigh and Joshua Nielsen; his great grandchild Lorelei May Beckens; his sister-in-law Donna Nielsen; his siblings, Ann Edwards (Jack) of Rome, N. Y. and Arthur of Boise, ID.; and his parents, Peter H. and Nora (Groth). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
