With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis L. Mather of Shirley, New York, who passed away on November 12, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Francis' spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mather (Newland); and his in-laws, Mark (Terry), Tim (Kate), Julie, Andrew (Kim), Jodi (Tony) and Paul (Jennifer). He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the New Life Elmira Church (325 Lake St, Elmira, NY 14901). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Rev. Francis L. Mather may be directed to the Food Pantry at New Life Elmira Church.
